blogger does not like me today

Last night I really wanted to work with color, but I didn't want to do anything where I needed to focus on precision. I needed to be loose. I was inspired by Jana Bouc's blind contours with watercolor from last week and decided to give it a try myself. I wasn't sure where to go with the watercolor, but, at the same time, it was kinda refreshing not to have rules.

This one really made me laugh. Not only does Pokey look like a meatball, he looks like a mean meatball!

Suzanne, these are so charming! Isn't it amazing how blind contours can loosen us up and jazz us up at the same time?

Oh wow i think these two are amazing. I love how you chose to color the person -- the darker green is so well done. Maybe i should try more blind contour. I also recommend drawing first thing when you get up in the morning. Phewwww.

Thanks for the laugh! I scared my cat when I burst out laughing as I scrolled down to see Pokey after hearing he looked like a mean meatball. I didn't think he looked mean or meatballish, but your description was so funny. The one of the guy is really great--and wonderful color too.

I'm delighted to hear my blind contours inspired you to do it too. It's such fun. Mine were posted on 10/6/06.

Suzanne, love your whole site. I haven't stopped by in forever so I need to add you to my favorites. Lazy me, instead of learning how to add into my sidebar I just keep up with what comes easy and put off developing that ol' learning curve. LOL

These are both wonderful, I don't know which I like best! I like your drink too, perhaps you could just add a shadow?
