it's like being in a movie

Drawing from memory remains a challenge for me! But, at least in this one I resisted the urge to draw completely in cartoon. Perhaps this is something I will take on as a goal for the new year: drawing without seeing.

This is brilliant. Absolutley love this drawing. It's nice to see you using colour pencil - I haven't seen you use that too much, if at all? And it works brilliantly. Love it.

It's funny how it just doesn't sit there. It's very dynamic, even though it's a loaf of bread.
And i was glad to see peanut and the happy colors you added to it -- same effect of movement, and growth.

I don't think i've ever even met most of my neighbors. How delightful that they brought you bread!

There's something funny about "drawing without seeing" -- It's kinda like the opposite of "blind contour" where you see the object you're drawing but not the paper. With what you've described you can see the paper but not the object. It's a great goal to strengthen that inner eye. I've tried to stare at something for awhile and then turn away from it and draw it and it's amazing what isn't remembered (or even seen until I start drawing it while looking at the object).
