ahhhh...the end of the semester

Phew.......
searching for the words
Among the many things I enjoy about teaching [active listening, thoughtful notes from students, great working hours, free textbooks...] is the ability to start fresh with each year...each semester...each class. No matter how great or terrible things get [thank goodness I haven't experienced really terrible yet], there is always a set of freshly-sharpened pencils and a perfectly-organized three-ring binder just around the corner. In my book, it doesn't get much better than that.

Sounds like heaven -- well, a lot of hard work in between, but pretty great. Happy break!

I agree - I am back in school for my second degree (the one I really wanted) and just finished my finals. It is such a great feeling to clean out the car and get things ready to start again.

Aw, Suzanne! You always make me miss IARC! :( Then I come to my senses and remember all that stress. hahaha! Just kidding, I wouldn't take it back for anything in this world. I loved it and miss it dearly.

Cindy--Heck, yes!

Peaches and Annie--Glad we're in agreement :)

Joy--Yep, the car is the next thing on my agenda.

Amber--If you're missing IARc I guess I'm doing my job. I think being a design student really is the worst of times and the best of times all rolled into one.

Your Smith-Corona brings back memories. My dh fixed typewriters and he used to have a bunch of old one lying around.

At first glance, I thought your rubber bands were sesame soba noodles...guess it must be lunch time! ;)

Dh is just happy it's the end of the semester; I think he's trying not to think of the next one and starting fresh yet. LOL!

That sounds like a good plan. I have a large, very HEAVY typewriter that looks very similar to the one you have posted (but I'm not sure the brand...can check). I'm moving and won't have room for it - would you like to have and give it a new home?

Diana--Sure thing! I'll trade you a sketch...that should be a little lighter :)
