early to rise

It's 8:45 in the morning, and I've already been to a bakery and drawn a page full of cupcakes. The good news is that I didn't EAT the page full of cupcakes. Though, I can't lie, I was tempted.

These beautiful gems are the product of Delicious, a bakery near my house that is well on it's way to becoming my favorite remote office. They have the most incredible selection of treats and, oddly enough, their fountain drinks taste like coffee...which I like! Perhaps it's an added dose of caffeine.

So, which of these cupcakes do you want for dessert?

WHITE WITH RASPBERRY! Aaah, I love it! It looks so delicate so I'm not sure I would actually eat it though, haha!

YUM! I was in there yesterday and was sorely tempted by the white with raspberry... I settled for a slice of the strawberry torte vanilla cake instead. :)

Such pretty cupcakes -- in person and in your drawing!

Red velvet is something I only associate with the USA.

Can I put in a request for the chocolate fudge cake ?

Mmmmmmmm

The word verification requested was EIRAOLYT, which is the technical term for a trainee Irishman.

red velvet, for sure!

I`d go for hummingbird with cream cheese. Hummingbirds are darlings. And cream cheese is a darling too. A different kind of darling, but still.

Oh, they all looks so good, I can't decide! What an wonderful office.

And I just have to ask ... did you sit at a table or stand right by the counter to draw these?

Good question Karen---I crouched by the counter to draw these as some were very low to the ground behind the glass counter. I definitely gained some leg muscle from this experience!

So hard to choose. Either the red velvet or the white with vanilla buttercream. Sounds like a great place! Love the drawings.

I, too, would love all of them, but would definitely choose the coconut cream first. It's so fun to see what inspires you from day to day!

the Hummingbird looks intriguing no danger of getting stung?

suzanne cabrera said...

Maybe just a bit Mattias. But, I'm sure it's worth it. From what I hear icing takes helps relieve bee stings.

Suzanne, could we post your cupcakes on The LIttle Art Club blog? I'd love to have them added to our theme "Candy and Sweets". You could post them to the Flickr group and I could get it from there? Think about it! I love your work!
