here's a question

open to the world
and another...
local traveler
Just two of the many questions rolling through my head today.
What are you thinking about?

I have recently gone on the Dept. of Tourism website for Greensboro (where I live) and have done some touristy things here. I also make it a point to talk to people where I am at and ask questions about things to do. It's fun to learn what your town has to offer.

i love the questions and your illustrations. you can be a tourist in your own town by thinking about where you would take a tourist and bringing your camera/sketchbook to see things in a fresh new way.

i'm thinking about the recent discovery of the real things that are holding me back from a fulfilling work-life balance and they don't include fear, which is what i've always blamed.

number two is the reason i like to move so often! when i'm in one place too long i get lethargic, crotchety, listless, closed to possibilities.

so i'm going to tackle number one this week - i'm going to that crepe shop i've been eyeing for the past four years!

Go sketch your town. That's what I've been doing and sitting somewhere and drawing what is in front of you makes you really look. Plus you get a nice series of drawing of where you've lived.

What I am thinking about- how to stick to a routine when you work from home and how to practice kindness to myself and others.

I love your doodles.

Love your thoughts. Blogaloorgirl--I'm also trying to solve the routine question myself. If you come up with any secrets let me know! Right now, I'm holding myself to a preset schedule. Seems to work pretty well.

To be a traveler in your own town? Start walking--it slows you down and helps you see what is all around you.

The question I ask myself, and should perhaps sketch out, somehow, is why deprive myself of happiness? If I would open myself to a little exercise and good food my world would be a much happier place.

I'd love to hear about the worlds you've both closed yourself from and what you're looking forward to opening yourself up to. What a wonderful and thought provoking question.
