nest sweet nest

One of the things I like best about our neighborhood is the diversity of houses in it. While all were built in the 1980s, the spectrum of styles and colors is quite broad. And, as I noticed this morning on my walk with Buddy Boy and Moppy-Mop [aka Pokey and Reilly] the same holds true for the multitude of birdhouses and feeders in each of the yards. After I dropped the dogs back off at home, I headed out a second time with my sketchbook to document the dwellings.bird houses on dunleith

I tried my best not to look like Creepy McCreepyton as I peered into neighbors yards and sketched. Luckily, for my sake, most of the humans had gone to work, and the birds, well, they didn't seem to mind.

i am having a field day, so to speak, thinking of you peering into others' yards. wait until the neighbors come home and review their security camera footage.

wouldn't you know it, my word verification is:

anestful. no joke.

Don't worry, eventually creeping will get easier xD JK

But seriously, I've been in your situation on multipul occasions, and people have asked what I was doing. Luckily they normally let you continue if you tell/show them what you're doing. I do love your managerie of bird houses :)

Great sketches......and I do know what you mean about creeping around. I love to carry my camera but often fear someone will grab it away from me if they don't want their picture taken. I love to take photos in public parks, beaches, etc. I enjoy painting people in strange poses. Like the little girl I have on my blog with her head in the sand pail seeing how much room she has left.

You are so funny! I'd never really given bird houses and feeders much thought. Once again, you show me that all of life can be processed through art!
