documenting the inevitable

Have no fear. I don't plan to make a regular practice out of showing my belly button. Not to mention, I think this post is the textbook definition of the expression 'contemplating one's navel'.

Hey, at least you have a cute innie! My belly button is a weird outie. Kudos to you on the rubber band trick. I didn't learn about that until my second (current) pregnancy.

Love the sketch!

Just wanted to recommend that you get yourself a Bella Band (or several). They are the most fantastic maternity clothing item ever invented. It's just a stretchy tube of soft cotton jersey knit that you wear around your waist over the top part of your pants. You can wear your pants completely unzipped, and know one knows-- it just looks like a tank top peaking out. You can get 3 of them for about 10 bucks on ebay. They really extend your wardrobe through that in-between time before maternity pants really fit.
