mint chocolate chip

mint chocolate chip
I can't get enough of this type of ice cream lately. So much so that I dreamt about it last night, along with cookies and cream and my sister giving me tips on how to be a hot mama...but that's another post completely! [Though if you do happen to have some tips, I'm happy to listen :)]

Thank you all SO much for your sweet comments regarding our latest news. I'll be the first to admit that of all the possible gender combinations, two boys is the one I feel the least prepared for [especially having grown up in a family of all girls]...but, I'm all for the challenge! Not to mention, I've been told that little boys are the best snugglers, a trait I'm happy to foster!

I swear I posted a message about the two boys (hooray!) in the post below, but lo and behold, it's not there! One boy (and two girls) have apparently done me in!

Anyhow, I always thought I was a hot mama when I was driving my kids around in my little sporty pre-kid mobile, but the days of a cool car have passed with the arrival of the third baby (although she is more than worth it!) so maybe you don't want any advice from me.

Three things that honest to goodness work for me are:
1. Get some (any!) exercise every day. Get a good walking/jogging stroller. Walking was my salvation, especially after the first baby.
2. Get dressed in real clothes every day.
3. Put some makeup on every morning.

For whatever reason, these three things always make me feel better. We spent a lot on our double stroller, but it was absolutely worth it. Best baby investment of all!

Pregnancy taught me that Mint Chocolate Chip between two Archway "Dutch Cocoa" cookies is the best ice cream sandwich you will ever taste. Just saying.

I grew up with just one sister and never really dealt with little boys before, so I felt exactly the way you do when I found out that I was having a boy for both pregnancies. It turned out to be a non-issue...boys are every bit as fun as girls are (except their clothing are a lot more boring...LOL!).

BTW, mint chocolate chip is my boys' (and my dh's) favorite ice cream. We even make our own sometimes! See? Boys are fun!

When I was pregnant it was chick-fil-a waffle fries and their lemonade! I still love both of them but now they don't make my ankles swell up quite so bad! :)

Hope you are enjoying your pregnancy Suzanne! & congratulations on TWINS! Whoo! If anyone can take that on its you and Edgar!

I would love to catch up with you sometime too!

Having two older boys and one daughter, the youngetst, I can honestly say the boys were easier, so far. Yes, they snuggle more and are more supporting of Mom. At 25 and 24 they still give great bear hugs when I see them. My 15 yo daughter and I have been struggling for over a year to find common ground and when I get a hug from her ( or IF I get a hug from her) I treasure it greatly because they are few and far between. Love them all with all my heart no matter what.

What would I do without you all? Thank you for such wise words of wisdom!

As the (ahem) hot mama of two boys (not twins, but only 20 months apart), I can honestly say that little boys are the sweetest kind of sweetness in the world. There's nothing like them! Congrats on your two sweethearts!

Boys are definitely excellent snugglers! My youngest is sitting on my lap while I type this, since I just got home from work :) He's learning keyboard shortcuts as I work - budding designer? We'll see!

I do agree with No Way's comments above about how to be a hot mommy. Getting dressed in regular clothes every day and dressing like you might go out (even if you aren't) will go a long way towards keeping your look up.
Getting exercise, but embracing the changes you're seeing is also helpful. Just remind yourself that you did 'this' for the boys. Everyone's got a little luggage once they're mommies!

Have fun! I love playing with my boys!

Two little boys - what a delight! You are going to be crazy about them. I'm so excited for both of you. I don't eat ice cream very often, but this is making me want some mint chocolate chip.....
