mama's mama

It's nice to know that despite being the thirty-year-old-mother of two new babies, I'm still my own mama's baby.

'Gamaw' has been staying with Edgar and me the past few days, helping us get adjusted to our new way of life. I've felt so spoiled and don't know what I would have done without her: especially today, Edgar's first back at work. Not only is mom a natural baby whisperer, she's wonderful at keeping up with all the things around the house I've neglected and remains very calm in the loudest of circumstances :)---the best support an anxious newbie like me could ask for.

Seriously, what would we new mamas do without our own mamas? So glad you have her to help you!

That is so wonderful that your mom can help out and baby you while you baby your babies! The one and only time I ever hired a house-cleaning team was after my first son was born - I hear ya on the neglecting things problem. Hope you're getting some good rest while your mom is there. :) x

Glad everything is going ok. Remember to try and rest when the babies rest! I know, I hear you say...'but there are things to do'...Suzanne believe me, just leave the things...remember REST and all the best...ann:)

All new moms need to be pampered! Enjoy her presence while you can! I'm sure she's enjoying being involved in the boys' first days, too!

I know about being my momma's baby. When I had my girls my mom always came down and helped. I couldn't have made it without her.

my mum only got a couple of years to enjoy our two (she died in 2000), but grandpa's still on hand to spoil them :)

Oh yes!Thank God for Granny's!
Girl, if it wasn't for Mommy and Auntie Clara those first few weeks with my two,(and we were only dealing with one baby at a time)I think I would have gone missing...I still don't know how they kept the house clean, delicious meals prepared(from scratch) and still took care of ME, and my growing family. I think they breed old School Mom's on special energy drinks or something, cause they do it all with a smile.
Stay Bless! and Knuckle-fist to 'Gamaw'!
