pump or pay?

greensplot
When I was in high school I went on a date with a boy, who, when pulling into a gas station, asked me if I wanted to 'pump' or 'pay'? It was one or other...he couldn't seem to manage both.

These days I feel like I've thrown a similar question of y'all...myself.... Do we want pictures OR words? I've only had the energy for one or the other. You get a picture, or you get a few words. Gone are the days of the deluxe value meal.

It's doubtful that it will be tomorrow or even next month, but one day soon I'm hoping to be capable of delivering on both: pictures AND words. And not just for you...but for me...the girl eagerly awaiting the opportunity to add a sketchbook to that diaper bag.

Until then, thanks for pumping :D

Do whatever you want! Either or! And don't worry too much about it.

One reader's opinion, anyway. :) I'm planning on doing art for my blog, but I'm not moved into my new place and until I am, it's doubtful there will be much in the way of art. It is what it is.

Hey, this is the only place you can pump without paying! Take advantage of it! Do as much as you can - we'll still be here ;)

Thank you both! I think it's more a personal frustration for me than anything. I love to do both...and it's truly cathartic...but time is nonexistent [for the BEST of reasons] these days.

I agree. Do whatever you can and, most importantly, want to do. I'm not going anywhere :)

I'm not going anywhere either, but I do like your drawn version of life. And since I'm following quite a few people portraying new[ish] born baby life, I like your unique version of new baby life :)

I agree! You do whatever you can, and I'll keep coming by to check in with you. I'm not going anywhere.

I have a similar - perhaps not quite - story. First date with a boy in high school, he took me to Burger King, bought a two for one special (luckily gave me one), then took me to the dollar movie, put down his dollar, then stepped aside for me to lay mine on the counter.

It was also a last date. ; )

Whichever. Sometimes neither. You'll hear it again and again, but this time goes by so fast ... hard to believe when you're stuck in the middle of it. There are two of them who will always have each other ... soon they'll be telling you to go away because they're playing.

ANd like others have said, we'll still be around.

Whatever you can do is wonderful! Don't stress about it (although I understand the need to draw and the lack of time.) Just enjoy your time with your little guys, and draw whenever you can. I would love to have my little Seannie and Meggie babies back again, just for at least an hour, to remember what they were like. I am savoring every second with baby Erin as she gets older and older. Just take it all in and draw like a fiend while they sleep. It's hard to do it all...really. Like Karen said, we'll still be here. (and BTW, who can't pump AND pay? Sheesh!)

If beggars must be choosy, then I choose words:).
