don't want to miss a thing

'She was twice blessed. She was happy and she knew it." --Kathryn Windham

Edgar shared with me earlier how he wishes he could bottle up the moments we're living and keep them forever. Recording them in my sketchbook is my eager attempt to do just this.

I love looking at your sketches. My kids are in college now now and just yesterday were the age of your boys.

Thank you so much Aimee and Anonymous. It seems they transform into bigger babies with every night's sleep. They'll be in college before we know it! This is certainly the reason behind us wanting to soak in every last detail.

Wonderful moments, how precious to sketch them as a momento in your sketchbook. You manage to capture it all in so few lines, amazing and so lucky for all of us out here in blogland to see the progress of your boys.

Again, our lives/loves/moments intersect. Amazing how these little people can so transform our hearts so much.

What a beautiful and personal way to record the daily moments of your lives. Enjoy your children, as the time will fly before you've even noticed it has taken off.

Love the quote. Love, love, love your sketches. Thank you for sharing them with us.

God bless,
Patty

Lovely! I know the feeling. Sometimes I'm afraid that I'm so busy just surviving that I'm not soaking it up enough... Life with these little guys is truly grand.

That last little sketch of Max and his toy and your little sentiment just made me tear up! That NEVER happens to me. Heartstrings officially pulled.
